We had to do a master copy this week. NO EYEDROPPER ALLOWED! I chose this architectural piece by John Singer Sargent, and I didn’t realize how much detail there was when I first started! I’d like to do a final detail pass to finish this off soon.

PaintingThis week we did a soft object still life. I spent much more time on this and was able to come out with something pretty!
We also did a one hour still life of some shoes in class. I felt myself getting faster at laying the basic shapes down.

PaintingThe assignment this week was a hard body still life. I was still getting used to painting in color, and I would have liked to spend more time on this! I learned a lot about basic technique here.
