Render Pass Generator Progress
Rendering, UpdatesWe’re almost done with the fall 2014 quarter at SCAD, and our group is creating a great render pass generator for Maya and mental ray called RenderGen. There are a few scripts out on the web now that set up empty render layers, or do a great job of creating single layers, like Ambient Occlusion. We want to take all the headache out of setting up render passes in mental ray by having one tool that does most of the work for you.
Building this has been a real challenge and we’re not quite done yet, but once we are I will upload it here and give you access to the code! Happy rendering!
